The beginning
After a lot of frustration from many travels, in 2011 Alexis came up with the idea to make learning about new places instant. Several months went into researching the subject and in early 2012 he decided that AVUXI would be his new project. A few months later he met with Roberto, who has been working with technologies closely related to the project.
Finding the right business fit
After several markets poked and cool demos produced, AVUXI got selected for acceleration at Startupbootcamp Berlin. The acceleration program was sponsored by Daimler, Bosch and HDI and in addition to great mentorship and contacts, it helped get a better vision of the market and clarify the strategy and business priorities.

Commercial product launch
The beginning of the year went on working on the product to expand its coverage and doing trials with a few selected customers. In March AVUXI was reviewed and selected for an investment by Telefónica’s acceleration unit Wayra. Gaining access to a major telco’s data will further enhance AVUXI’s value offering.
